Registrations are now open for the FilaChange 2022 workshop, the SWOT-AdAC & CLIVAR multisite conference on finescale ocean dynamics.
The conference will take place at several sites (Paris, Providence, Hobart, and Qingdao) during the same period (29 August – 2 September 2022). It will attempt to reframe SWOT-related topics into larger ocean dynamics and climate change issues and for a broader community.
The workshop will focus on five themes:
- The energy cascade and heat/material transport in Earth System Models
- Biodiversity and biogeochemistry in the global ocean
- Emerging finescale observing systems, inversion methods, data assimilation
- Air Sea fluxes
- The role of finescale science in conservation and management: contaminants dispersion (oil, plastic, ..), eutrophication, fisheries, and planning of marine protected areas
Travel grants will be available for Early Career Researchers (including PhD students).
All information and indications for travel grants are available on the conference website: https://finescales2022.sciencesconf.org
